Town North Bank Presents $24,000 in College Scholarships to Six C-FB ISD Graduating Seniors

(Carrollton, TX) Town North Bank, located in Dallas, hit $307,000 in scholarships and 100 scholarship recipients upon announcing the bank’s 2010 scholarship winners. Six Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District (C-FB ISD) seniors received $4,000 each. They are Kristina Cobb and Monica Rosales, R. L. Turner; Will Allen and Katherine Clyde, Newman Smith; Ashley Carr and John Wall, Creekview.

The students were selected as Town North Bank scholarship recipients because of their ability to achieve and their commitment to purpose. The bank began the scholarship program in 1991, and this year, the bank presented $24,000 in scholarships. Mr. Steve McDonald, Town North Bank president, said, "The bank’s Board of Directors made this commitment to these students because we believe in public education. But, we really believe in this school district -- the Carrollton-Farmers Branch School District."

Dr. Bobby Burns, C-FB ISD superintendent of schools, said, "Town North Bank has a long history of being a Carrollton-Farmers Branch School District advocate. We value the bank’s continued support of our district and public education. These scholarships will jump start the college education of these students."
